September 2026 saw the launch of The Painted Garden, a new wallpaper collection created in collaboration with London-based design house Deus Ex Gardenia
“We wanted to create the feeling of being held inside a garden rather than simply looking at a picture of one,” says Marco Nappolini, Co-Founder of Deus ex Gardenia. “Amy’s work exists between abstraction and recognition. You sense flowers, foliage, light and weather without ever being told exactly what you’re looking at. The result is immersive and atmospheric.”
The Painted Garden seeks to recreate the sensation of being surrounded by a landscape. The Collaboration delivers four wallpaper designs: three repeating patterns and one large-scale mural, with the mural available in two colourways. Fabric versions of the designs are also currently in development.
“The palettes feel lived-in rather than decorative,” says Katya Nappolini, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Deus ex Gardenia. “There is a feeling and presence within the work: the layering, the texture and the way nature sits at the centre of everything Amy creates. We wanted to bring that atmosphere into an interior setting….Our goal was to reinterpret Amy’s paintings so they could live across an entire wall while retaining the essence of the original (paintings),” explains Katya Nappolini. “Preserving the texture and painterly quality of the work was absolutely essential.”
“I capture the essence of a landscape and the feeling of fleeting moments in the garden,” says Artist Amy Wright. “The garden is constantly changing. I piece together patterns and textures that reflect its shifting nature. Rhythmic compositions suggest this flux of time. The paintings seem to continue growing, mirroring the garden’s continual cycle of change and renewal.”
